Welcome to the National Soaring Museum!

The NSM is an aviation museum working to preserve the history of motorless flight. Stop in and see a multitude of gliders on display, try out computerized flight simulators, and participate in fun educational programs.

The NSM is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 days a week.

- Eileen Collins Aerospace 2008 takes off

This year's Eileen Collins Aerospace Camp takes off Monday, July 21. With one week for young women and one week for young men, the camp is open to ages 9-14, and the cost is $325 per camper. Attendees learn about various aspects of aviation through hands-on projects, demonstrations, and first-hand! Each camper will take a ride in a sailplane, a powered plane, and a tethered hot air balloon. For more information, including a sample schedule, photo gallery and more, please click here.

There are now multiple opportunities to support NSM at no cost to you. If you go to ShopForMuseums.com and register, you can then choose from many online stores, most likely including several that you use regularly (such as Amazon.com, Circuit City, eBay and Half.com, and many, many more), and a percentage of your purchases will be given to NSM. The store listing shows the percentage for each store. Once you've registered, all you have to do to make purchases that benefit NSM is go to Shopformuseums.com, and click on the store where you want to shop. You can also visit Giveline.com - they offer books, DVDs, electronics, home & garden items and more for sale, with a significant portion of the sale going to a non-profit of your choice. It's another easy way to make the purchases you already make count for something extra!

- Soaring magazine back issues for sale!

The NSM is offering back issues of Soaring for sale. Please or call (607) 734-3128 for a price sheet and details. We are also interested in receiving donations of Soaring magazines from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1990s.
