    Design & Development

    Wright 1902 Glider (replica)

The 1902 was the Wrights' third glider and the first to incorporate airfoils based on data derived largely from their own experiments. This pioneering machine was the first to provide adequate control over three axes of flight, through the use of forward elevator (to control pitch) and an interconnected rudder and wing warping system (to control yaw & roll). It was the immediate predecessor to historic 1903 Flyer. which borrowed heavily from the design.
