From Route 17/I-86: Take Exit 51 and proceed south (toward Consumer Square). Turn right at the traffic light in front of Consumer Square Plaza onto County Route 64. You will travel 1.7 miles through a residential area. There is a large blue and white Soaring Attractions sign on the left. Turn left here onto Harris Hill Road/County Route 55 (the hill is extremely steep). At the top of the hill (2.3 miles), there will be a golf practice course on your right; turn right to stay on Harris Hill Road. Proceed approximately 0.3 miles; you will make another right turn here, following the blue and white sign. Continue on this road through Harris Hill Park until you see a white sailplane wing sticking out of the ground on your left, before the scenic overlook on the right. Turn left up this road; the museum will be on your left. From Route 81 (Syracuse area) Proceed south on Route 81. Take Exit 11 to Cortland (now on Rt. 281). Follow signs to pick up Route 13 South. You will pass through Ithaca. Once you have reached the Elmira area (approximately 30 minutes from Ithaca), follow signs to get on Route 17/I-86 West. Take Exit 51 and follow directions as above. From Route 352 (from Corning): Proceed on Route 352 East; you will see the SPCA on your right (if you pass the drive-in theater you have gone too far). Make a left turn directly across from the SPCA (Harris Hill Road/County Route 55). Stay on this road all the way up Harris Hill; you will pass the scenic overlook on your left and make the next right turn. The museum will be on your left. From Route 352 (from Elmira): Proceed on Route 352 West; you will see the SPCA on your left, just past the drive-in theater. Make a right turn directly across from the SPCA (Harris Hill Road/County Route 55). Stay on this road all the way up Harris Hill; you will pass the scenic overlook on your left and make the next right turn. The museum will be on your left.
